Advertising tends to take itself a little too seriously. Between the countless (and commendable) good cause campaigns that try to change the world and fix society’s ills, it feels like we’ve collectively forgotten how to have fun every once in a while. 

KNOCKING PEOPLE’S SOCKS OFF

Although we love creating campaigns and brand identities for both big clients and small non-profits, self-initiated projects have always held a special place in our hearts. From Uzorak stolice through The Art of Feedback, and all the way to It’s puzzling, if an idea is a mix of eccentricity, concept, and humour - we’ll do it, even if it seems ridiculous from the outside. This project continues that tradition.

For over a decade, Señor has been knocking clients’ and colleagues’ socks off with their creativity. So creating the world’s first niche perfume for feet felt like a natural next step.

A PERFUME FOR WHAT NOW?!

We took this seriously. This eau de toelette was developed over several months in collaboration with the Croatian artisan perfume house Sortilège Olfactive Arts. The scent was crafted to capture the feeling of working on a project with Señor - from the initial surprise of an idea that knocks your socks off, to the ongoing pleasure of working together.

After many iterations, we landed on the perfect blend: Fussnota is a barefoot walk through freshly cut grass in a bergamot garden, a lazy break on a blanket with a slice of Spanish Bizcocho de Limón, followed by a cedar-scented nap in the afternoon sun.

IT'S A WRAP

We took inspiration from classic premium perfumes for the packaging, and developed it in collaboration with Atelier Macan and the paper specialists at Europapier Adria. The box consists of two parts, lifting the lid reveals a blooming base, evoking the feel of unwrapping a gift every time. Embossing highlights the typography on the lid, while low-relief print enhances texture and brings out the depth of the colour through light and shadow. The name is additionally highlighted with glossy UV lacquer. On the inside of the box, rose gold foil and spot gloss create a layered relief revealing subtle design details. The warm foil tones complement the delicate pink of Koehler Eco Rose Quartz paper and contrast beautifully with the greenish lid in Koehler Eco Sage. The final touch? A satin ribbon, foil stamping in a third colour, and die-cutting, because the outside matters too.

SORTILÈGE Olfactive Arts is an independent artisan perfume house from Croatia, born from the desire to express ideas, emotions, and stories through scent - shaped by travel and nature. Sortilège is run by Barbara and Tomi Kordić. Barbara, the brand’s creative director, is a disciplined R&D engineer responsible for organisation, structuring, and processes, while Tomi is the nose and designer behind the visual identity of the brand. Their perfumes are handmade in small batches using rare, high-quality materials from all over the world, with each blend telling a unique olfactory journey.

Supporting Fussnota was a true pleasure and honour.
